‘Whoa don’t be coming at me like that!’ | 00:37
Aussie champ Skye Nicolson has emphatically shut down boxing legend Derek Chisora in footage that has swirled across cyberspace.
The former WBC featherweight world champion has been widely applauded for her blunt rejection of the veteran heavyweight after they crossed paths in an incident caught on camera.
UFC 316: Dvalishvili vs O’Malley 2 | SUN 8 JUN 12PM AEST | Bantamweight champ Dvalishvili faces UFC superstar O’Malley in a highly anticipated rematch less than a year after their first encounter |Order Now with Main Event on Kayo Sports.
Nicolson approached Chisora to pose for a photo together after an event, but the interaction took a turn when the 41-year-old effectively asked the 29-year-old Aussie Olympian to go out.
Chisora, wearing a cowboy hat, shared a side-on hug with Nicolson before asking “How are you?”, to which Nicholson replied: “Good, thanks.”
Chisora then casked: “When are we going to grab dinner?”
However, she responded: “Whoa. Don’t be coming at me like that.”
Chisora wasn’t overly fazed as he quipped: “Don’t you like dinner?”
Nicholson answered: “I like dinner… on my own.”
She walked off with her six-word comment leaving Chisora looking like he’d been rocked by an uppercut flush on his chin.
Video of her brutal mic drop has spread to all corners of the boxing world, with many applauding the Aussie’s reply.
Chisora is preparing for what he says will be the final fight of his career after he caused a major upset in rocking former champ Otto Wallin in their IBF world heavyweight title eliminator in February.
Chisora is currently the mandatory challenger for the IBF heavyweight title, which is held by Daniel Dubois.
Chisora is being forced to wait until after Dubois’ re-match with Oleksadr Usyk, which is scheduled for July 19, before he hopes to get a shot at Dubois’s world title belt later this year.
