Well, I said that April was going to be a busy month!

Lunch, internships, Easter – it’s all been happening.

On the 1st of April, we headed into the Sydney CBD for a casual catch-up with some delicious Mexican food for lunch.

Also in April, YCDP’s first intern started their learning experience with Young CDP. Yes, that’s right – our internship program is up and running! If you or someone you know would like to make the most of this opportunity to learn new skills and make new friends, drop me an email.

On Easter Monday, Young CDP was joined by fellow CDP members and supporters as we marched in the annual fun event that is the Sydney Easter Parade. This year’s parade theme, “Love Never Fails”, was illustrated with giant hearts walking down the streets of Sydney, brightly coloured crosses and banners, and great live worship and entertainment. It was a great opportunity as Christians from all walks of life to come together and be unified in our celebration of what Christ did for us. If you missed the event, check out the photos that have been published on the CDP website and on Facebook.

In other news, I was so pleased to see that the ‘Un’Safe Schools Program is going to be pulled from our schools in NSW. This comes as a welcome relief to many parents, teachers, and individuals who have expressed their concern over the content of this program. I look forward to seeing a genuine anti-bullying program being implemented in our schools to protect all who are vulnerable.
