Rev. the Hon. Fred Nile MLC and the Hon. Paul Green MLC from the Christian Democratic Party (CDP) have welcomed the record NSW Budget surplus delivered today by the Baird Government.
Rev the Hon. Fred Nile said, “The CDP is proud to have worked constructively, not obstructively with the NSW Government to deliver this record surplus for NSW. Because of the support of the CDP the NSW Government was able to proceed with the leasing of Port Kembla, Port Botany and Port Newcastle, preserving the states’ triple AAA credit rating and establishing the Restart NSW fund.”
Further to this Mr Green said, “We were also pleased to have worked with the Baird Government in the leasing of NSW Electricity assets to deliver a $20billion influx to the NSW economy that has been reinvested into the Rebuilding NSW program, to boost the development of infrastructure across the state.”
The Restart NSW and Rebuilding NSW are two key programs, administrated by Infrastructure NSW that are ensuring we deliver the infrastructure needs into the 21st century and beyond for the people of NSW.
The CDP is committed to continuing to work with all stakeholders to see greater spending in Health, Education and Infrastructure throughout NSW.
