Dallas Clarnette CDP Senate Candidate

Dallas Clarnette is married to Beverley, has three daughters and ten grandchildren. He has been a minister for the last fifty years, and is currently a minister of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria. He has been the minister of churches in all Australian States, as well as having been involved in theological training and ministry overseas. His work has taken him to the UK, USA, Kenya, Cyprus, India and Indonesia. He has two earned degrees, MAR and Doctor of Ministry.

Dallas believes that the two party political system is both contrary to the Australian Constitution but alien to true democracy. Members of parliament must be free to vote according to their conscience. For that reason he contested a state seat in the 1989 WA election, as an independent, and later joined a senate ticket in the next Federal Election. The Christian Democratic Party is a good alternative to both the two party system which dominates Australian politics, and an absolute independent stance.

Unlike all other parties, the CDP unashamedly stands for Christian principles of morality, social intercourse, and support for Australia’s Christian origins.

As never before, Australia needs the Christian Democratic Party. At a time when multiculturalism – a policy never put to the Australian people – endangers the homogeneity, harmony and national security, the CDP is the only one which recognises the source of our greatest current threat.

Dallas Clarnette opposes current ‘death wish’ policies such as abortion and euthanasia; he believes that throwing money at problems – the most common political response – is no answer. Rather, what is needed are policies which recognises the sinfulness of man and the necessity of spiritual answers. The revival of a Biblical approach to life and the revival of true family based society is the greatest need for Australia to implement.

Supporting independent senate candidates, who represent an avowed Christian party is a first step in the right direction.
