Chris was born and educated in Sydney, he has two daughters and loves the outdoors, gardening, music and ethnic cooking.  Chris has several qualifications and for more than 35 years, his work included teaching and administration of small business.  He has also worked in importing & exporting, building and bookshop management.  He has been a lecturer, Director, Head of Unit, Director of Studies and College Principal.

Chris is actively committed to many Christian and charitable organisations including Voice of the Martyrs and International Barnabas Fund. He has a family heritage of political interest.
