Malcolm Smith RIP

The Rev Fred Nile MLC. National President of the Christian Democratic Party, has announced the unexpected sad death of Malcolm Smith on Friday 4 June 2010 from cancer at the age of 75 years.

"I was pleased to be with Malcolm at the Sutherland Hospital the night before he died, to comfort him, read the Bible and pray with Malcolm."

Malcolm was a loyal friend and hard working volunteer organiser in the Christian Democratic Party where he served for many years as the Cronulla Electoral Co-ordinator.

He also served for many years as Treasurer of the Australian Festival of Light - Community Standards Organisation, and took an active role in all its activities since 1973.

Currently Malcolm was serving as Treasurer of the Australian Christian Nation Association.

Malcolm will be a great loss to our Christian Democratic Party, he was a member for 17 years.

On behalf of the CDP, I express our condolences to his sister June and her children.

Malcolm's funeral will take place at St Philips Anglican Church, 402 Port Hacking Road, Caringbah at 12 Noon on Thursday 10th June, 2010.
