Welcome to the official website of the Christian Democratic Party - the only national Christian political party in Australia. CDP candidates are in total agreement with CDP aims and principles, but in every instance they are free to vote on legislation according to their conscience under God’s guidance.

 

The Christian Democratic Party exists in Australia to see Christians represented in government at every level - Local, State and Federal - by seeing Christian candidates endorsed and elected across the country.

 

The CDP seeks to support and promote pro-Christian, pro-family, pro-child, pro-life policies for the benefit of Australia. The CDP seeks to ensure that all legislation is brought into conformity with the revealed will of God in the Holy Bible, with a special emphasis on the ministry of reconciliation.
 

The Christian Democratic Party has recently introduced the FLAD (Faith Loyalty And Dedication) Awards to recognise those CDP members and supporters who have shown long-term Faith, Loyalty and Dedication in their on-going support of the CDP and its activities.

The first FLAD awards were presented at the Annual CDP Convention Banquet on the 23rd August 2008. We honour and thank the recipients:

CDP is actively working to put pressure on the Federal Government to review our Commonwealth Immigration Policy - to ensure the priority for Christians from all races and colours, especially from persecuted nations, as both immigrants and refugees.
 

Secondly, we want Australian to adopt a ten year moratorium on Muslim immigration, so an assessment can be made on the social and political disharmony currently occurring in the Netherlands, France and the UK, so as to ensure we avoid making the same mistakes; and allow a decade for the Muslim leadership and community in Australia to reassess their situation so as to reject any attempt to establish a Muslim nation within our Australian nation.
