Christian Democratic Party reproaches Rudd over brothel visit

Christian Democratic Party Senate Candidate, Pastor Paul Green and CDP Party Leader Reverend the Hon Fred Nile MLC have issued a joint statement reproaching Kevin Rudd MP regarding the Opposition Leader's reported visit to the New York strip & lap-dancing club "Scores". According to the reviews, Scores is actually a brothel. See http://newyork.citysearch.com/review/7158628

"Australians, especially Christian Australians, are entitled to have concerns." said Reverend Nile. "Firstly Christians are opposed to sexual exploitation. We instinctively reject the degradation of women implied by the voyeurism and (according to internet reviews) the prostitution associated with premises of this nature. Secondly, we expect our leaders to conduct themselves in a sober fashion, and we are less likely to trust an individual who claims to have been so drunk that he has no memory of an event."

Paul Green, who will lead the Christian Democratic Party NSW team into the half-Senate election, added: "Reverend the Hon Fred Nile MLC and Reverend Dr Gordon Moyes AC MLC maintain an example of gentlemanly behaviour which other Parliamentarians would be wise to emulate. Mr Rudd has portrayed himself as a Christian, and Christians are therefore entitled to expect him to eschew drunkenness and sexual exploitation of women."

Reverend Nile concluded: "Christians believe in the power of truth. Truth is not something that can be adjusted and manipulated for perceived electoral advantage. Credibility is strained by a man who claims to have told his wife all the details of an event while maintaining that he was too drunk to remember any of the details.".
