Christian Democratic Party Senate Candidate, Pastor Paul Green and CDP Party Leader Reverend the Hon Fred Nile MLC have welcomed the support of Queensland Senate candidate Pauline Hanson on the important issue of a moratorium on Muslim immigration.
Paul Green, who will lead the Christian Democratic Party NSW team into the half-Senate election, said: "Reverend the Hon Fred Nile MLC first called for a moratorium on Islamic immigration during the NSW State Election campaign." [[Reverend Nile’s media release of Sunday 11 March 2007 is attached]].
Paul Green continued: "The Christian Democratic Party is pleased that Pauline’s United Australia Party has adopted the CDP policy of a moratorium on Muslim immigration. We invite other parties to follow our example on this issue of great significance to Australia’s future. CDP’s policies in important areas including family values and the sanctity of human life are also available for adoption by other parties."
On behalf of the Christian Democratic Party, Pastor Paul Green has been prominent in opposing the plan for a Muslim college at Bass Hill. Paul and Reverend Fred Nile are on the public record in calling for an end to approval of the construction of mosques in Australia "until Saudi Arabia allows the construction of Christian Churches."
