Fred Nile Admires Don Chipp’s Zeal In Forming A Political Party

The Rev Fred Nile, MLC, Leader of the Christian Democratic Party, has expressed his admiration for the late Hon Don Chipp, the founder of the Australian Democrats and in particular for the zeal and hard work in the carrying out of his policies.

“I particularly express my admiration for Hon Don Chipp’s zeal and hard work in forming his own political party, the Australian Democrats.

“I fully understand the amount of effort that is required to form a successful political party in Australia because of my own efforts to form a successful Christian Party, the Christian Democratic Party. This has been an effort of 32 years (since 1974) when the majority of voters supported the two major political parties – the ALP or Coalition of the Liberal and National Parties.

“My only regret has been Mr Chipp’s anti censorship campaign which has led to the legalisation of pornography in Australia. I believe the permissive policies of the Australian Democrats in other areas including marijuana, prostitution, nudity and homosexuality have led to their rapid demise” said Rev Fred Nile.

I offer my sincere condolences to Mr Chipp’s family.
