1. Why join CDP?
You are needed! We need people from every area of NSW who will commit themselves to supporting the ongoing work of the Christian Democratic Party, but also be involved in the new directions in which we are heading. In the future, instead of two (2) Parliamentary representatives (in 2008), we want three, four, or even five MPs’, holding the balance of prayer and responsibility in the NSW Parliament in 2011. Then, Legislation that will be introduced into Parliament, will be tested from a Christian World point of view.
You still need convincing?
2. Ten Good Reasons to Join CDP
-
You will be better able to contribute, both prayerfully and practically, to the promotion of Godly, family values and good governance in Parliament through the only registered Christian Political Party in Australia.
-
You will immediately be connected to the inside of CDP; able to access a range of benefits not available to non-members, and have access to a Secure Internet Site for Members only.
-
You will be more informed about the hard work that Rev Fred Nile, and Rev Dr Gordon Moyes are doing on behalf of the Christian community in Parliament. You will receive monthly publications, emails and letters from CDP, keeping you fully informed of issues coming before Parliament, and legislation which may affect you.
-
You can be actively involved in having your say, through more than thirty teams of people connected via the Internet, and who meet at various locations throughout the year. (The details of these teams are on the Secure Members site - available to you when you join CDP.
-
You will help CDP grow support to our goal of a 7% vote in the Upper House in 2011.
-
You will be helping to fund proper professional research and polling of community attitudes, and will enable proper consultation among our churches on issues in Parliament.
-
You will be assisting the State Office Administration Costs, and its employment expenses.
-
You will be able to join your local CDP Branch (see website for details), and help resource our staff to assist in the establishment of new Branches across the State..
-
You will allow us to mount effective Publicity Campaigns without the distraction of trying to raise money in a very short time.
-
Your financial support will ensure the future of the Christian Democratic Party.
3. What happens next?
If you become a Member of CDP, or renew your Membership, you will be contributing a set amount each month, from your Credit Card, directly into the NSW State CDP account, until advised by you to the contrary. If you prefer to be a Supporter of CDP, without becoming a Member, you also may contribute a set amount, determined by you, from your account to the CDP account.
Membership (or pledges of on-going financial support) are both vital keys that will enable proper consultation among our churches, proper professional research and polling of community attitudes, and the employment of staff to build ownership of CDP, and support CDP Branches in all Electorates.
Membership (or pledges of on-going financial support) is available to be activated anytime on our Website.
At Branch meetings, a membership report is presented. New members can be enrolled on the website by the co-ordinator. The initial $10 monthly fee can be paid for on our website, by using the Credit Card details of the applicant. These should appear on the applicant’s application form. The State Office will then take the person’s membership from there.
One of your branch’s first and fore-most tasks is, at the grass roots level, to help build CDP’s community numerically. There will be two months each year when a Membership drive, (or pledges of on-going financial support) will be conducted. We need names and addresses, emails and phone numbers of people who value the work CDP does, and MAY be prepared to commit themselves to our party. Always bring a Clip-Board to all Branch meetings to gain new contacts from your members.
Please make Membership your emphasis at each Branch meeting, and through every mail-out that you send in your Branch letters. Our goal is 500 new members, (or pledges of on-going financial support) per year in 2011.
