The Christian Democratic Party has, for over twenty years, represented the concerns of people who support Christian and Family values, the sanctity of life, caring institutions, our Commonwealth Constitution and schools and education.

While we have fought for the values that made our nation and are committed to the future development of our nation as an inclusive community based on cohesive values that made us a people.

Our Christian Democratic Party leader, Rev Fred Nile MLC, is acknowledged for his honest and courageous stands on issues that cause great public unrest and concern. Mr Nile has another four years of his current term in the Legislative Council to run.

The Christian Democratic Party has already been responsible for having legislation passed that:

  • Banned tobacco advertising.

  • Saved Letona Fruit Canning company.

  • Prohibited smoking in public places like restaurants, pubs and clubs.

  • Helped established the Royal Commission into paedophile activity.

  • Saved the practice of opening Parliament with prayer.

All positive and helpful legislation has had the support of the Christian Democratic Party. Currently there are more than a dozen CDP Legislative Bills listed for debate.

Your Parliamentary CDP members have also been members of and frequently chairman of many important Government Committees and Inquiries including those into HIV/AIDS, drugs, adoption law, motor accidents, land tax, insurance industry, electoral reform, school and TAFE closures, ethnic affairs and multiculturalism.

The Christian Democratic Party is committed to:

  • Security for our borders, streets, transport and houses.

  • Improved quality of family life.

  • The protection of children from abuse.

  • The promotion of Christian values and ethics.

  • The promotion of a just, honest and accountable government.
